 Phnom Penh, 27th November 2013: Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) got last week the 6th International Award- the Majestic Five Continents Awards for Quality and Excellence- handed by Association Other ways Management and Consulting France (OMAC) in Geneva city, Switzerland.

 

 

 

 

 

 

This was the 6th time that PPWSA was considered world class body through gradual recognition of the main international institutions in the world, stated H.E. Sim Sitha, Director General of PPWSA, in the press conference on November 26.

According to H.E. Sim Sith, PPWSA was selected by OMAC among 7,500 companies coming from 160 countries in the world through three stages (candidacy selection from media, first evaluation of OMAC and final selection from the vote of OMAC).

The OMAC’s evaluation of the award was based on Total Quality Management (TOM), including the quality of customer service, determination and leadership, endless improvement, activities based on reality and employees’ participation, he said.

During the conference, H.E. Sim Sith said that the award cannot be separated from the leadership of guidance Ministry of Economy and Finance and Ministry of Industry Mine, and Energy, along with the strong determination of officers and employees at all levels of PPWSA.

The award is an instrument to inspire employees to lively fulfill their jobs for the nation and people, enhancing better clean water supply, he concluded.
